OVS Breakfast Program

OVS Breakfast Program

We are excited to start a breakfast program at OVS. Here is some information:

  • The program will start October 8, 2024
  • At this time, it will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-8:50(am)
  • The program is open to every student, is free and is optional. No sign up necessary.
  • The program will be held in the library
  • Food products served will accommodate anaphylactic food allergies that we have
  • The format will be a “grab and go” meaning that handheld food items will be made available
  • Students will consume their food in the library
  • Students who would like something to eat between 8:30 and 8:50, will enter the school through the front doors, take off their outdoor footwear and go straight to the library
  • After they are finished, they will go back out the front doors to their regularly assigned areas
  • The program stops at 8:50 sharp so that no one is late for their routines before classes start. Kids are encouraged to come to the library as soon as they arrive to school those days if they would like something to eat before school
  • Bus students who wish to grab something to eat, can come into the library directly from the bus
  • Mrs. Butler and Mrs. Tessier will be the staff for the program
  • This program is in addition to our snack program that runs throughout the day
  • Students who do not want something before school, would not come into the school early and would carry on with their regular before school routines

The above is subject to change as we work out any glitches that we may see during the first few weeks of start up.
