Greetings from Oakville School! We are excited to see returning faces and to welcome new students and families to Oakville School for the 2023-24 school year. We have a great year ahead and are very excited to get started!
Please note some of the following information pieces:
September 5 - the school will be closed - all divisional staff will be attending Treaty Relations professional development. No one will be at the school this day.
September 6 - Meet 'n' Greet from 1:30-3:30. Please feel invited to stop by and meet your teachers and drop off any items that are ready.
September 7 - First day of school!!
September 15&18: Strong Beginnings: No classes for students. All students will have individual appointments with their teacher for individual assessments in literacy and numeracy and for the teacher to spend important one to one time with your child to learn about their learning styles, strengths, and areas for growth. Appointment times were sent out last June. For new families, your home room teacher will contact you with your appointment time.
Fees: please e-transfer $30 to ovs@plpsd.net for the 2023-24 student fees. The fees are the same for each school in the division. All school supplies have already been purchased for all students, except for any phys. ed. clothes, water bottles, back packs and other similar items.
Please note that students in grade 7&8 will have additional fees for Applied Arts, Guitar, Band and Fine Arts ($70).
